Updates On COVID-19 From CEO

First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who’s been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we’re truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.

Second, at Abdos, we’re focused on the health, well-being, and safety of our employees, families, communities, and stakeholders at large. During this lockdown periods, we have advised all of our employees in India and around the world to work from home. Being a core manufacturing and distribution company this shift has not been easy. Since largely all of Abdos group business is into essential supplies we have this week secured approvals to start our plant and warehouses but the availability of resources has been our biggest challenge and we hope to start 70% of our capacity by next week. Our plants and warehouses are being sanitized and all necessary precautions of social distancing and hygiene are being taken care of the well-being of our employees. Since all of Abdos manufacturing even before COVID-19 was either in a cleanroom or temperature-controlled environment with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) given to all employees we have always taken care of the well-being of our employees. Once operational we will continue to deliver the highest levels of quality products, availability, and security for our customers.

During this time, we will continue to pay our employees, vendors, contractors and all service providers who are an important part of our family. It is also decided that there will be no job cuts in the near future at Abdos. Our request to all our customers to pay Abdos as per terms and conditions so that our duty to our great suppliers and employees are performed without any stress.

Third, I have personally asked my sales and marketing team to make use of this time to connect with you digitally for any product training, company presentations and service related information. If anyone of you are interested to connect with anyone in my team we await your call. Abdos Lifesciences products play a crucial role in laboratory and medical decision making together with various tests on COVID-19 so we urge all our distributors around the world to rise up in this hour of need and help the community in any way possible through continuous supply of products and service to their customers. We will in turn promise to keep supplying our products and services to the best of our abilities.

Fourth, even as we deal with this pandemic, we are preparing for the future and working on various scenarios looking at the uncertainty ahead. Abdos is well prepared to face challenges like this and through our relentless efforts and the great team we will come out stronger than ever before. Our company core values – relationship, integrity, consistency, long-term vision, and aggressive growth continue to guide us in everything we do.

During this time, we are supporting our communities in India through philanthropic donations into the various Prime Minister Care Fund and Chief Minister Relief Fund. We have also supplied masks, gloves, and other protective equipment to various healthcare and administrative people in India. I hope you all will do your bit and help the needy and support our governments who are doing a fantastic job to keep us safe.
